Day 29: Favorite ‘birds of a feather flock together’ couple

Jade Chan/Hsi Wu (Jackie Chan Adventures):

Because despite their obvious differences (Jade Chan is an eleven-year-old mortal girl, Hsi Wu is a thousand-year-old demon), I think that they do have things in common. Both adore flying (Hsi Wu with his wings, Jade with whatever available apparatus can help her fly – be it a jetpack, Rooster Talisman, etc.), both are mischievous and sly, both are discounted by others because of their age and height (Hsi Wu is the smallest [and presumably youngest] of the eight demons and is ordered around by his sisters in the episode, “The Eighth Door,” Jade is constantly underestimated by the villains), and both have an interest in new things (Hsi Wu is the most up-to-date of all of his siblings and learns how to work Jade’s camera pretty quickly despite being isolated from the human world for thousands of years.)

So, even though their friendship ended badly, I could see them getting along well or, at the very least, have a bantering/bickering relationship where each tried to outsmart the other in an AU plot bunny where Jade was older and the two of them made up.
